BTW don’t miss Live Earth this weekend. It did lift my heart a little to see the saturation advertising on C4 this evening – both for the event itself and for lots of little carbon reducing actions like switching off the lights and recycling your paper.
On the other hand, I haven’t seen a single one of these little ads exhorting people to stop driving so bloody much!
Hi Anoushka, I have nominated you for the Bloggers for Positive Global Change.

Hi Anoushka
I wonder if she was faking that?
did you see that bit in the Dominion Post about Live Earth today? (Monday 9 July, World “B” section). It mentioned Madonna and how she is a bit of a hypocrite, having investments in all these companies that pollute the Earth. Also, did you see her play guitar for the concert? How strange it was

Oh cheers Nikki! I’ll have to check that out!
I’ve been really sick. I’ve just spent the week at my mother’s house being taken care of. Boy it was nice spending time in a dry, insulated house. They even have a wood burner! I really didn’t want to come home to my crummy little dump…when I own my own home, the first thing I’m going to do is insulate it completely. It’s going to have so many layers of padding I’m probably going to have to make the wall spaces wider. I could have this place done because I qualify for the government’s low-income insulation scheme but I don’t know if I like my landlord that much!

Just a ps about Live Earth. Didn’t see any of it. Don’t know if it helped at all.
I’m sure it did raise a little awareness, did some good.
All I could picture as an aftermath though was the mountains of plastic water bottles that surely were left behind…
I hope they recycled them at least.
